My Ever Expanding Vocabulary

Recently, my wife was very happy to add a new word to my vocabulary. Apparently, she has never done this. I want to disagree, but I can’t think of any specific incident to back me up.

Her history with my vocabulary notwithstanding, the new word in question was perseverate. Dictionary.com defines perseverate as, “to repeat something insistently or redundantly.” This is more or less exactly how the wife defined the word, using it to describe a conversation that I had recently had.

Way to go, honey! You have made me smarter.
